Cloud Gate 2 at Luckman

If you've been reading my blog, you probably know that I LOVE going to shows! Live music, dance, theatre, it doesn't matter!  On Saturday night my daughter and I went to the Luckman Fine Arts Complex (which I frequent so often that a member of the staff recognized me! LOL) to see Cloud Gate 2.

Cloud Gate 2 is a Taiwanese dance company. They're named after Cloud Gate "the oldest known dance in China." These dancers receive training in meditation, modern dance, ballet, internal martial arts, and calligraphy.

I can't begin to describe the delights I witnessed with my very own eyes! Each dance told an elaborate story through defined movement. The choreography was stunning. These dancers were synchronized in a way that I have never seen before. It's no wonder they are celebrated around the world!

My daughter did a wonderful just explaining the meaning behind the stories to me, I had no idea that she was so in tune with artistic expression.  It was a lovely experience for both of us.

If Cloud Gate 2 should happen to perform in a city near you, do yourself a favor and take in the show!
