One of the things I love about living in California is all the nooks and crannies. One of my absolute favorite places to visit in Sunny CA is the city of Solvang.
The word Solvang is Danish for "sunny field," which describes this quaint European styled city perfectly. Founded in 1911, Solvang, CA is located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. Windmills, Danish bakeries, and plenty of boutiques and shops, can be found in this jewel of a city.
I recently had the pleasure of spending the weekend in Solvang with my sisters and a couple of our good friends. Since Solvang is famous for all things Danish, stopping for Danish pancakes at Paula's Pancake House was the first thing on our to-do list.
Then we were off on a wine tour through Gold Coast Limousines. It was nice to be driven around for the day and if you've ever been to the Santa Ynez Valley, you know that there is no shortage of wineries and tasting rooms. It doesn't matter if you like white or red, sweet or sparkling, there is something for everyone.

The weekend went off without a hitch. The weather was good, the wine was excellent, and the company was outstanding!

This is not a paid post. The wine tour and hotel accommodations were self-paid. All views expressed are the opinion of Just Say I Told You So!
This sounds like a neat little town plunked right on the west coast.
