When I was younger I didn't use sunscreen very often. As a matter of fact I would venture to say that I didn't think it was something that I needed. I put it on my daughter religiously, but I didn't do the same for myself. Now that I'm getting "wiser" (not older), I realize how important it is to protect my skin.
Last Saturday it was my great honor to participate in the Revlon Run/Walk for Women. I was good about making sure that my family generously applied Coppertone Sunscreen before we left the house and I even applied some myself! The day started off quite overcast, but I know that even when the sun is hiding behind the clouds its rays are still working their magic.
The walk presented a wonderful opportunity for me to pass out samples of Coppertone Water Babies Sunscreen to as many Mommies as I could!

By the time I made it to the finish line the sun was shining brightly and I was feeling quite proud of myself, until I realized that I had forgotten to apply sunscreen to my chest... ouch! It was tender to the touch and it itched like crazy too!
| Sunburn is not cute and it doesn't feel good either :-( Lesson learned! |
- Apply sunscreen before you go out into the sun.
- Be generous. Apply it to any part of your body that is exposed and reapply as needed.
- Pay attention to the numbers. Coppertone recommends SPF 15 or higher.
- Do it again! Reapply if you've been perspiring, swimming, and towelling off.
- Use SPF 30 or higher for your water-lovin' kids! Kids love to playing in water so make sure they're well protected.
Be sure to give Coppertone the "thumbs up" on Facebook!
