First things First - Dating your mate - Giveaway - CLOSED

Dating is great! The anticipation of seeing that special someone, feels wonderful. You are always thinking of new and exciting things to do together. You get butterflies and you can't stop daydreaming. It's one of the most magical things ever!

Many couples lose that feeling once they're married... but you don't have to.

First Things First (FTF) is an award-winning non-profit organization (located in Chattanoga, Tennessee) that is reminding families of what's really important.  They are on a mission to strengthen families from the inside out.

FTF is a resource that works with community organizations, groups and individuals.

This is interesting:

  • 70% of divorces are due to couples feeling disconnected. Only 30% are due to infidelity, addiction or abuse.
  • Couples who make time specifically for one another (at least once a week) are more likely to enjoy high-quality relationships and lower divorce rates.

In order to have a happy + healthy marriage you have to make spending time together a priority.

  1. I liked this video. It's so important to go out with your spouse and continue to "date". It's easy to get wrapped up in your busy lives and forget what is most important.

  2. My husband and I like to have a date night! Every week on Saturday we try to always make time, whether it is to go to Starbucks or something more elaborate like a nice date at a restaurant. We like to enjoy our lives together! I look forward to it every week! cherylslife67(at)charter(dot)net

  4. The video is very informative. I think that communication is the best way to keep a relationship strong. Set aside time to talk about your day or anything out of the blue so you'll get to know each other more and more everyday. :)

  5. The video is an eye opener. The everyday rush of life makes you forget about the one next to you. I think sometimes I was so involved with doing thing for the kids and around the house that we hardly had time for each other. Dating my husband again is a great idea. thanks
