My grandmother has always been a game show fanatic. You are guaranteed to find her watching her favorite game shows on weekday mornings, weekday afternoon, and weekday evenings... without fail. And Family Feud is one of her all-time favorites!

My grandmother has watched Family Feud from the very beginning. She has been an unwavering fan through all it's incarnations... but the current host, Steve Harvey, is her 2nd all-time favorite (she's loyal to the original host, Richard Dawson).

She loves Steve Harvey because of the way he connects with the contestants, but mostly because of his quick wit and hilarious facial expressions.

See what I mean:

Well it seems that Christmas has come early for my Grandmother, because now she can have even more Steve Harvey since Family Feud has been launched into syndication on TV Land

If you don't currently watch the show take a look at this clip, so you can see why my granny thinks it's all the rage:

You can tune into Family Feud for endless belly laughs weeknights from 8-9pm on TV Land

3-2-1 Penguins! Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

One of my favorite memories of my childhood is getting up early on Saturday mornings (while the house was still quiet) and watching cartoons all by my lonesome. Even as an adult, I still really love the energy of early morning, for very different reasons of course, and I'm still a sucker for great cartoon!

3 2 1 PENGUINS! is an AWESOME cartoon series!  You know why it's awesome? Because it's kid-esque, you know what I mean?  What I'm trying to say is, some of the cartoons nowadays have so many adult insiders that I can hardly believe they're supposed to be geared toward children. 3-2-1 Penguins! is not like that. These cartons are designed for kids to get it.  Every episode has a teaching element, a little moral/ethical nugget, which our children can certainly use a little more of.

Win it:
I would really love for your child(ren) to own a copy of the complete first season of this hit NBC cartoon series, that's why I'm giving one away!

Mandatory entry: Leave a comment telling me your favorite childhood cartoon (include your name and email address).

Bonus entries: must leave a separate comment for each (include your name and email address).

Luther - BBC America

Although I am much more of a book reader than I am a TV watcher, every now and then I come across a show that grabs me. My latest TV obsession is BBC America's Luther, starring Idris Elba. I stumbled across this brilliant show on Netflix the other day and I'm totally hooked!

Detective John Luther is a very complicated man. He's just returning from a suspension when a murder case lands on his desk, with only one suspect and no evidence, he has his work cut out for him.  To add insult to injury, his wife (whom he's been separated from for 7 months) is ready to move on with her life (without him). Despite the obvious strain of his work and personal life, he is a brilliant detective who will stop at nothing to catch a perp.

Here's the trailer for the original broadcast:

The series is slated for 4 more episodes in August.  I certainly hope they decide to do a third round, that would please me very much!
